We worked with the City of Grande Prairie to create a digital presence that reflects its status as the Peace Region's vibrant cultural and economic hub. Located in northwestern Alberta, Grande Prairie is the province's largest city north of Edmonton. It is a thriving hub that offers opportunity and amenities not only for its local citizens, but for over 280,000 residents in the surrounding region. Grande Prairie is home to a growing network of cultural and recreational groups that connect citizens, and the City is always looking for ways to better engage its communities.

Grande Prairie selected Upanup to launch a new, modern website that facilitates connection and accommodates the needs of residents and visitors alike. With these audiences in mind, the City emphasized the need for a mobile-first, responsive website that allows citizens to access news and information with ease from any device. The project presented an exciting opportunity to put to work our experience creating municipal websites, building a site with enhanced usability and functionality for Grande Prairie's citizens.
We understood that the City needed a website that could house a high volume of information and resources required by various audiences, delivered in an easy-to-navigate design. To accomplish this, our creative team leveraged their experience working with public sector organizations to create a new sitemap and develop intuitive navigation features that give citizens easy access to information.

With a mobile-friendly design, intuitive navigation, and an interactive event calendar, the new website encourages community engagement and delivers a flexible, easy-to-use resource for City staff.
