Do you love turning complex requirements into clear, persuasive writing? Help municipalities choose better websites by writing the proposals that win their work.
About the role
Upanup builds, supports and hosts websites for municipalities and public-sector organizations across Canada and the US, sites that tens of thousands of residents use every day. You'll join our five-person marketing team and report to our Director of Marketing. As the only team member in our Waterloo office, you'll need a strong work ethic and the drive to work independently.
Most of your time will go to finding and analyzing RFPs, writing the proposals that respond to them, and writing quotes for existing clients, with a focus on the Eastern and Atlantic time zones. Our core work is municipal website design, builds, support and hosting, alongside a growing suite of other products and services.
Once you're settled in, you'll also join client meetings and help build relationships, including the occasional client visit or conference.
You won't start from scratch: you'll have a library of past proposals and work samples to draw on, and the backing of our development, UX, strategy and support teams.

- Analyze requirements, evaluation criteria and submission rules, and flag risks early
- Write clear, concise, compliant proposals and get them submitted on time
