Goes Live

Tree Island

About a half year ago we started an exciting project with Tree Island Steel to redesign their website at Today is the day; the day that it goes live publicly. We're excited about the creation, and what it means for Tree Island Steel and their customers.

If you're not familiar with Tree Island then well, you probably are... because their products are just about everywhere. They are also a signifcant publicly-traded company with plants and distribution centers around North America. Tree Island produces a multitude of steel products, from reinforcing mesh used in concrete and stucco to galvanized chain link fence and every type of nail you can imagine.  You might have seen their products at a vineyard, a construction site, alongside the highway, or in a display of nails at just about any hardware store.  The full list of Tree Island's brands are here.

This website nicely showcases the Upanup team's skills in responsive design - aka Responsive Web Design, or RWD.

What is RWD?  Wikipedia explains it as "is a Web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from mobile phones to desktop computer monitors)."  We explain it here in a short video by our very own Richard Hammond.
