How long does a new website project take?
A typical website project will take 9–15 weeks from our first meeting with you to the site’s launch. However, timelines will vary greatly depending on your needs and the time you have to devote to the project.
How much does it cost?
Costs are dependant on what you need the site to do in addition to restrictions like time and platform requirements.

Our work represents a wide variety of platforms. We specialise in working with open-source content management systems (CMS) like Drupal, Wordpress and Joomla and other commercial CMS in addition to modifications to systems like SharePoint.
Open source content management platforms are not only secure, but they provide you with a website that is easy to edit, does not require any licensing fees and is scalable and flexible—ensuring you can expand your website or change it according to your needs.
What is Responsive vs. Mobile Friendly Design?
With Google Search’s preference for mobile-friendly sites and the growing prevalence of mobile devices, having a website that looks great and works well on mobile devices is a must. There are two routes that you can take.
- Mobile Friendly - this is a website that is designed specifically for mobile devices and was commonly used before responsive design had established itself. It often involves creating a second version of your website that is set-up specifically for mobile viewing.
- Responsive Design - the method of choice, responsive design provides you with a single website that can be viewed and used across mobile devices. The site automatically resizes based on the screen size that it is being viewed on. Content is created expressly to meet this need.
There are specific reasons for employing these approaches, tell us about your needs for our recommendation.
How does your team work—do you contract out part of my project?
Upanup is an integrated team, meaning all of the work required for your project is completed in-house. Our team of designers, developers, content strategists, SEO/SEM specialists and brand experts work shoulder to shoulder everyday—creating time efficiencies and streamlining communications.
