Squamish-Lillooet Regional District New Website Launched

Regional district website

Upanup Studios is excited to announce the launch of a new website for the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD). Located in the picturesque surroundings of southwestern British Columbia, SLRD is a local government federation delivering a range of regional, sub-regional and local services to approximately 38,000 residents living in four member municipalities (Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler and Squamish).

By utilizing Drupal’s open source content management system, we adhered to many industry best practice standards, ensuring that the new website is simple to use, easy to navigate, encourages user engagement, and eases ongoing management of the site by SLRD administrators. The new site takes advantage of responsive web design techniques to ensure the site is optimized for general computer users and the ever-growing number of mobile and tablet users.

Some other highlights of the SLRD website include an emergency notification bar that can be toggled site-wide or by affected community, comprehensive community hubs, photo credits embedded throughout the site for community-provided photos, ability for website visitors to add events to their personal calendars, highly interactive search functionality, and easy-to-use submission forms.

We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with the team at SLRD in delivering their new website, and proud to include them as part of our growing list of municipalities and district clients for whom we've provided long-term and high quality solutions.
